Dun & Bradstreet’s Employee Model is a predictive scoring solution developed by Dun & Bradstreet's Global Decision Sciences Group. The model predicts the estimated number of employees at a specific business location for those records without an Actual employee figure. Modeling is performed on single-site, non-subsidiary locations.
Employee figures benefit customers by helping them understand the size of a business. Customers can use the Employee figure to identify the size of their opportunity which gives them the insight to determine what level of marketing effort to put forth. From a risk management or purchasing perspective, employee figures are also used as an indicator of the business size and our customers often use their own defined ranges to determine what level of risk they have with different business segments. Customers can achieve gains in efficiency and increase return on investment in marketing programs by honing in more precisely on a target market. More Employee figures on business records also enable customers to conduct more thorough segmentation analysis of their own customer base.
The model supplements Dun & Bradstreet's existing coverage of employee size data across the Dun & Bradstreet business universe, which is useful for several key use cases:
- Conduct more targeted marketing programs by enabling definition of prospect universe by employee size on a greater number of businesses
- Achieve gains in efficiency and increase return on investment in marketing programs by honing in more precisely on the target market
- Conduct more thorough segmentation analysis of a business’ own customer base
